I'm really happy to announce that the wonderful Ivelina Dimova joins us at Human Made as a WordPress Engineer! Many of you will know Ivelina from her work in the WordPress community and her impressive contribution to WordCamps as a speaker. She joins us after over four years as a Senior WordPress Engineer at Crowd Favorite, where she gained significant experience as a solution-driven developer and a self-directed remote worker. Ivelina brings with her a wealth of experience and we're super excited to welcome her to the team. Welcome, Ivelina!
I am so excited to join Human Made! I met Joe, Tom and Noel several years ago at WordCamp Edinburgh and since then I’ve always been inspired by the way they grew the company. As an active member of the WordPress community, I really value their culture and their commitment to open source contribution and this is one of the main reasons I wanted to join the team.
I started using WordPress on my travel blog back in 2009 and soon after I was working with themes and plugins. It was an interesting challenge for me and I felt even more motivated once I started getting more side projects, which eventually led to a great position at a WordPress agency in Norway.
From there I returned to Bulgaria where I spent four years working remotely with another WordPress agency based in the US, CrowdFavourite. My experience here helped me develop a number of skills, both as a developer and as a remote worker. This is probably one of the biggest reasons to feel so enthusiastic about my new role at Human Made, and my strong sense that I am a good cultural fit for the company.
In my downtime, I'm passionate about travel, yoga, and photography. I’ve tried the “digital nomad” experience for a year and loved it! Can’t wait to meet other humans on the way and share experiences and ideas!
